Mission
Deeper Life Christian Church is committed to meeting the needs of the total man in the Spirit of Excellence. With evangelism as our thrust, we are dedicated to the preaching of the gospel, the teaching of the Word of God, and making disciples of Jesus Christ.
History
In 1986, a small storefront located on Hillsborough Avenue became the first home of Deeper Life Christian Church. The ministry began with thirty members. Moreover, due to the diligent work of faithful and God-ordained leaders, Bishop M.B. & Dr. Brenda Jefferson, Deeper Life Christian Church began to thrive.
In the spring of 1993, the congregation moved into a new facility on Nebraska Avenue. This location was renovated and became the national headquarters for Deeper Life Christian Church, House of David Help Centers, and World Assemblies Fellowship International.
Because of their heart to win souls, Bishop M.B. Jefferson and Dr. Brenda Jefferson felt the leading of God to raise up churches around the world. Over 70 affiliate churches are now spread throughout the continental United States, Africa, the Caribbean and other nations. Recently, God called for expansion locally in Brandon, Florida.
Focus
We are a Deliverance Ministry. Our goal is to impact our community with a ministry of healing and restoration based on the Word of God! Emphasizing integrity in order to foster partnerships with other believers. The great commission is fulfilled which was commanded by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost "
Book, Chapter & Verse
Book, Chapter, and Verse is a Bible class taught by our Leadership and is comprised of scriptures which we refer to as "The Fifty List." These scriptures are teachings used to transform lives. The objective is that these scriptures are planted into the student's heart. Therefore, their life is transformed into a life of righteous living and deliverance. Regardless of socioeconomic, ethnic, or educational background, multitudes have found this list to be essential to rebuilding their life.
Bishop M.B. and Dr. Brenda Jefferson have used Book, Chapter, and Verse for the spiritual intervention in the lives of innumerable youth and adults around the world. Based on their ability to take the Word of God, break it down and make it applicable to everyday life. Sound biblical teaching has delivered countless numbers of people from all forms of dependencies.
